   provides a series of very nice controllers (such as the Basic Stamp, the Javelin Stamp, and others) which are quite useful. 

Digikey has a very large selection of components, and is an excellent source to use if large quantities are needed.

ExpressPCB  supplies a free board layout application, designed to submit artwork to them for production.  They are oriented around inexpensive board prototyping.

Jameco provides for a reasonable selection of inexpensive components, including stepper motors.

Mouser also provides a very large selection of components, for volume purchases.
